As Americans all over the USA were preparing for the spectacular Bicentennial celebration during the Summer of '76, BJ and I were embarking on a new life together - moving in with each other, in a little apartment in Perkasie, PA.
At the same time, BJ's TinEar Sound & Stage, in conjunction with Canetic Productions, got the contract to supply the sound reinforcement for the WSAN Showcase 1470 Summer Concert Series at the Roxy Theatre in Northampton, PA, which led to a crazy, wild, rock & rollin' Bicentennial Summer! I was having my own American revolution!
TinEar Sound and Stage provided the audio equipment and BJ acted as the Sound Man at all of the below events, except where indicated.

* Is it just coincidence.... that 2 years after Cheech & Chong appeared at the Roxy Theatre they released their movie Up in Smoke, which features a green "fiber" step van (which BJ, the road crew, and Chong partied hearty in during the bomb scare), and a concert at the Roxy Theatre?!?! We like to think it wasn't coincidence, but we were a small part of inspiration in making the movie. |
